Abstract

This article explores the spiritual dimensions of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel The Master and Margarita. It focuses on three key categories—truth, love, and freedom—examined as philosophical, ethical, and aesthetic reference points within the novel’s structure. Through the symbolic system of the work, the fates of its characters, and the paradoxical metaphysics of the narrative, the author reveals how Bulgakov constructs a unique language of resistance and inner liberation under the conditions of a totalitarian era. The novel emerges as a tragic parable of human dignity and spiritual choice—of truth that cannot be renounced, of love that overcomes fear, and of freedom that becomes genuine only through sacrifice
