State Regulation Problems and Conceptual Approaches in Regional Socio-Economic Development

Abstract

The effective organization of regional socio-economic development is one of the key directions of contemporary public administration, requiring the balanced formation of economic space and the efficient allocation of resources. In this context, state regulation challenges necessitate a reassessment of the scientific and methodological foundations of regional policy. In the modern environment, factors such as deepening interregional disparities, incomplete institutional coordination mechanisms, inflexible legal frameworks, and unequal fiscal capacities make strengthening the state’s regulatory function a pressing issue. The study examines the integration of existing conceptual approaches – strategic planning, the subsidiarity principle, clustering models, and innovative management tools – into the state regulation system of regional development. At the same time, enhancing the role of social factors, institutional transparency, and public-private partnerships in shaping regional policy is considered a priority. Consequently, addressing the problems of state regulation in regional socio-economic development requires the implementation of complex and coordinated mechanisms, as well as the establishment of a long-term conceptual framework. This approach serves as a strategic foundation ensuring sustainable and inclusive development of regions.
